Summary

A weathered fence can impact both the curb appeal and security of a property. This project called for a complete upgrade, replacing an old fence with a new wood installation that offers greater durability and a more polished look.

The Work

Removed and hauled away the existing fence panels
Installed 80 feet of 6-foot tall, 1x6 Selkirk Brand Western Red Cedar pickets on existing steel posts
Added 2x4 appearance grade rough cut cedar top cap and 1x3 cedar trim board for a finished edge
Used Wood Defender pre-stain on all boards for enhanced protection and consistent color
Upgraded to a board-on-board style for improved privacy and longevity

The Outcome

The property now features a clean, rich-toned cedar fence that stands out for its solid build and refined details. This upgrade not only boosted privacy but also created a welcoming boundary that will hold up well over time.
